Change your negative habits that send you spiraling down into depression. Instead of keeping up your negative habits, replace them with positive ones. If you become depressed after some negative situations, keep telling yourself that depression and blaming yourself is never the answer. Use assertiveness to avoid sabotaging yourself with problems.

Anxiety and depression are two conditions that are interwoven with eaxh other qnd sometimes present with similar symptoms, and signs and also could be managed using the similar protocols and treatment. Being anxious is a normal part of out existence which plays some positive role in our general wellbeing. It could alert us when danger is lurking or provide warning signs that prompts us to take more action on a situation. There are different types of anxiety disorders and they include OCD, post traumatic disorder, panic disorders etc.

Depression is a condition that involves the mind and body and could be manifestation of extreme anxiety in some cases. It could also be a chronic condition that could  require long term management.

If you think that someone you love is suffering from depression it is important to get them help right away. Depression can lead to suicide which means that you could lose your loved one forever if you do not get them help.

Below are some tips that would prevent anxiety or depression from getting the better of you

If you are suffering from depression, combining therapy and medication can provide effective results. Often times, medication alone is not enough. You need to add the therapy component to get to the root of your problem, to truly see progress. Discuss this option with your physician at your next appointment.

Oftentimes when we are feeling depressed, we tend to keep quiet. Doing the opposite and talking to someone can actually be more effective. When you keep your feelings bottled up inside it can have negative consequences on your body, mind, and soul.

Finding a trusted friend or family member to talk to lets you get things out in the open and releases some of that negative anxiety.

Get enough sleep. Proper amounts of rest not only contribute to body health, but mental health as well. Symptoms of depression and anxiety are much more extreme when you are suffering from sleep deprivation. If you are suffering from insomnia, try meditation before bed, or talk to your doctor about adding a sleep aid.

At first your loved one may be against the help that they need. They may not want to see a professional but it is important to be persistent so that you can help them the way they need to be helped. It can be hard to help yourself when you are depressed.
