The ESV is an excellent translation, I highly recommend their Study Bible which is an excellent tool for study and research. However after using the Study Bible for some time, I was ready to have something more practical to take with me. I saw this Bible in the store and checked on Amazon to see if it would be a little more inexpensive. Sure enough Amazon had the exact same Bible and delivered it promptly. The Bible is excellent quality, I have no complaints. It appears as a much more expensive Bible than what it costs. Can't recommend it enough.

I downloaded the free copy of the ESV to my Kindle. This is the version I use consistently. Have the Study Bible in hardback, a copy I use to preach from, the Study Bible as an app on my iPhone and now the free version on my Kindle. Only complaint I have so far is some cumbersome navigation in the Kindle version. I will attribute at least some part of this to the fact that as I write this review, I am still learning how to use the Kindle.
All that is to say, download for free, or if necessary, byt physical books or apps. This is THE best Bible translation available today.

It's really, really small. However the font is readable! After I got the first one by pre-order I was so pleased with it that I ordered a second. I appreciate how it has psalms & proverbs in the back too.
The old testament is not included but I have crossway's free ESV iphone bible app. So I can still look up the a passage every so often, or check a verse for footnotes.
Makes a great "car bible" for any unexpected delay.
